Liangping 梁平区 — Bamboo Sea & Eco-City
Liangping is known as Chongqing's "Bamboo Town" — the district has one of the largest bamboo forests in western China and has been designated as an International Eco-City.
The Shuanggui (Double Osmanthus) Mountain bamboo sea stretches across thousands of hectares, creating a vast green landscape. Liangping is also one of China's largest producers of bamboo products.
The district is also home to the famous Liangping lamb noodles (梁平张鸭子), a local delicacy.
A vast bamboo forest covering over 100 sq km, one of the largest in western China. The bamboo groves create tunnels of green that stretch to the horizon. The area includes the historic Shuanggui Temple (双桂堂), one of the most important Buddhist temples in southwest China, founded in 1653.

A 350-year-old Buddhist temple complex known as the "Bodhi Temple of Southeast China." The temple features impressive Ming-Qing architecture, ancient trees, and a large collection of Buddhist scriptures. It's also known as the founding temple of the Linji school of Zen Buddhism in this region.

A scenic valley with thousands of plum trees that bloom spectacularly in January-February. The valley also features walking paths, tea houses, and photography spots. In summer, the valley transforms with lotus flowers.
