Bishan 璧山区 — Green City & Water Town
Bishan is Chongqing's greenest suburban district, known for its clean lakes, pleasant parks, and relaxed pace. The district has been carefully developed with environmental quality in mind.
The district is famous for its Golden Lion Lake (金剑山) scenic area and the well-preserved water town architecture. Bishan has also gained recognition for its organic agriculture and tea production.
Proximity to Chongqing proper (just 30 minutes) makes Bishan a popular weekend destination for city residents.
A 1,500-mu urban park built around a beautiful lake, featuring traditional Chinese garden design with pavilions, bridges, and willow-lined pathways. The park hosts cultural performances, light shows, and seasonal flower exhibitions. A model of urban ecological design.
