Heze 菏泽 — Peony Capital of China
Heze is China's peony capital, famous for producing the finest peonies. The annual Peony Festival in April draws visitors nationwide. Some varieties are over 400 years old.
The world's largest peony garden with 1,000+ varieties across 80 hectares. Peak bloom mid-late April. The garden becomes a sea of pink, red, white, and yellow.
