Fenghuang 凤凰古城 — Ancient Phoenix Town — Miao & Tujia Heritage
Fenghuang (凤凰古城, "Phoenix Ancient Town") is one of China's most photogenic historic towns. Wooden stilt houses line the Tuojiang River, illuminated at night with red lanterns. The town has been home to Miao and Tujia ethnic minorities for centuries.
